Paged production in the age of coronavirus

Paged – our response to the coronavirus

The current situation related to the coronavirus epidemic is affecting everyone. It requires a complete overhaul of our lifestyles, work, and business operations, imposing many sacrifices and restrictions. Despite this, Paged is rising to the challenge and continuing production. We are operating in accordance with all guidelines, both those imposed from above and those we have imposed on ourselves to increase the safety of our company community.

The Paged Group against the pandemic

From the very beginning, we have been closely monitoring all reports related to the development of the epidemiological situation. After the first signs, we implemented all preventive measures to ensure that not only our production, but above all our employees, would feel the effects of the inevitable changes as little as possible.

The nature of our business does not allow for remote work, but as the situation has developed, we have made every effort to ensure that Paged employees feel confident and safe, and thus that the continuity of our operations is not disrupted.

  • We have ensured appropriate conditions – every employee has the necessary personal protective equipment, access to all hygiene products, and complies with social distancing rules. We monitor each other’s health and well-being to minimize the risk.
  • We have decided to reduce the working hours of each employee by 20% for a maximum of three months, so that no one at Paged has lost their job. Every employee can feel safe and secure about tomorrow – we will not leave them in a difficult situation.
  • We have made the regulations related to working time more flexible, bearing in mind not only the well-being of our employees, but also that of their loved ones.
  • We are keeping up to date with the government’s latest guidelines and recommendations regarding both the tightening of safety measures and the easing of restrictions.
  • All activities related to the implementation of solutions from the anti-crisis shield are fully transparent to employees. Key decisions for the common good are also made jointly by the Management Board and employee representatives. Solidarity is a strong pillar of our Group, and we realize that all of us—employees, management, and the Board—are contributing to the survival of this difficult period for Paged.

Paged production in the era of coronavirus

Despite the difficulties and a clear slowdown in the market, demand for our products remains strong. Different industries and countries are affected to varying degrees by the coronavirus pandemic, but thanks to the recognition of our brand in Europe and the versatility of our core product, plywood, we continue to sell in many areas, including construction, carpentry and transport. We are currently focusing our efforts on ensuring the continuity of deliveries and adapting to the changing schedules of many of our customers,” says Jarosław Michniuk, President of the company. We believe that thanks to common sense, effective and appropriate decisions, and the commitment of our employees, which despite the unfavorable situation are present in our company, the Paged Group will win the battle against the coronavirus, he adds.
