Support for KATO Urban Corner – exhibitions and an education center on sustainable development at the World Urban Forum 11

We support education for sustainable development. Exhibition and workshop space at WUF11 with Paged plywood arrangements.

The most important global conference on sustainable urbanization, established by the United Nations – the World Urban Forum – took place in Katowice on June 26-30. This was the 11th edition and the first time it was held in Eastern Europe. The WUF11 program included the creation of KATO Urban Corner, an interactive exhibition and education center on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The space was opened on June 10 and will remain open until September 30. During this time, there will be many events and workshops for those interested.

The Paged Group, wishing to support education for sustainable development and good environmental practices, became a partner of the project and helped build the exhibition at KATO Urban Corner.

Sustainable development is no longer just a slogan but a key factor that must be taken into account in business strategies and everyday practice. Therefore, there is a great need for education to understand, implement, and consolidate new patterns of behavior. As the Paged plywood group, we understand this perfectly, because wood is a raw material with a negative carbon footprint, and our industry is an example of a circular economy that contributes to sustainable development Promoting this model of operation is extremely important, as is the responsibility for implementing it in everyday business operations, says Jarosław Michniuk, President of the Management Board / CEO of Paged Pisz Sp. z o.o. and Paged Morąg S.A.

Paged will also host a September event at KATO Urban Corner, where it will discuss wood-based materials in the context of eco-friendly, sustainable construction.
